8 to 10 October will be held in Cagliari, the new edition of the Premio Andrea Parodi. Under the artistic direction of Elena Ledda, the prize is the only one in Italy specifically dedicated to world music and, this year, will alternate on stage at the Teatro Municipal Auditorium Piazza Dettori numerous artists. Among the guests mention the Canadian Alejandra Ribera, songwriter from Argentina and Scotland, winner of the 2014 Award SOCAN Songwriting, Tazenda, band of Sardinia which was part of the late Andrea Parodi, and Totore Chessa, who will be awarded the Albo D’Oro 2015. The finalists of the event with the following: Alarc’h with the song “Ninna e la ninnella”, Calatia with the song “Arrammuli”, Claudia Aru Band with the song “Fogu”, Corimè with the song “La scelta”, Davide Casu with the song “Santa Eulalia”, Giuliano Gabriele Ensemble with the song “Letter from France”, Koralira with the song”Nero”, The Banda di Piazza Caricamento with the song “Bird Song”, Marina Mulopulos song tith the song “Iati” and Valeria Tron with the song “Senso dire rien”. All will perform during the three nights, suggesting the race track, a song from their repertoire and sang a song of Parodi in the Sardinian language. For the final evening is planned a performance of Ribera, as well as Mario Incudine and a jam session with Tazenda, Elena Ledda and artists of the jury. The event, which this year will be presented by Ottavio Nieddu and Gianmaurizio Foderaro of Radio Rai, is organized by the Foundation Andrea Parodi, supported by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
