Debashish Bhattacharya, Indian slide guitar virtuoso, has an approach to the music world almost exclusively (some discographer would say), which is well represented by the sentence that can be found on its website and that sounds more or less like this: for a musician of substance, the only limit is the sky. In fact, throughout his career, Bhattacharya did not put no limit to the experimentation and especially comparison with musicians from diverse backgrounds, working, among others, with Zakir Hussain, Bob Brozman, Rene Lacaille, Takashi Hiriyasu, Lieu Fang, Julian Kytasty . In his latest album, “Beyond The Ragasphere”, this perspective is again crossed, even with the help of John McLaughlin (who in the seventies led the Mahavishnu Orchestra), the legend of bluegrass dobro Jerry Douglas and Spanish guitarist Adam del Monte. I mean, who likes to hear playing guitars and the like can not find better.
