Tesi, composer and accordion player of international repute, has collaborated with different artists: from the beginning with Caterina Bueno, to jazz, international ethnic music, ethno-jazz, but also rock and songwriters. In this scenario, in his long career, Riccardo Tesi had an eye for the research in the field of popular music, but interpreted in a new key style and always experimental.
In this new project Tesi proposes a marriage between his instrument and the related, more than others, even to the tradition of chamber music, like the clarinet by Michele Marini, cello by Damiano Puliti and piano by Daniele Biagini. With this band tracks – some written for “Cameristico”, some other already included in previous releases of the musician Pistoia or already produced for other projects (for example, to the cinema or the theater) – have a completely new profile, defining a new perspective. To be honest Tesi has always been oriented in space between searching for elements (repertoires, styles, evocations) clear and experimental and virtuoso tension, following a redesign that has found kaleidoscopic solutions in its projects Banditaliana. Moreover, as can be read on his website, “what define Tesi is style, easily recognizable, by which manages to speak both an archaic and modern language, expanding vocabulary and technique of an instrument long been the exclusive patrimony of tradition”.
