Since 1998 this folk trio consisting of two Scotsmen living in The Netherlands (Steve Dewar playing the guitar and Greig Coutts playing the bodhrán drum) and one Dutchman (Erik De Jong versatile accordion and whistle player) have been playing in pubs, clubs and festivals throughout Europe with their mixture of Scottish/Irish folk music and self-written repertoire. This blend of Celtic folk and contemporary song writing has pleased all ages of audiences for almost two decades. In every live show, the emphasis is on passion and dynamite. Traditional folk songs are given a new lease of life but retain their authenticity and integrity.
From the end of May till August “The Assassenachs” will perform in several gigs on a tournée through Germany and the Netherlands.
