The 2013 edition is dedicated to stringed instruments, as can also be seen from the title “A world of strings”. The program is rich and varied, and between the shows and artists from every genre and country, surely remember: Custodio Castelo Trio, from Portugal (Monday, 15 July), Marco Ambrosini and follow Beppe Gambetta, Mike Dowling, Chris Newman (Thursday, July 18), Violins Barbarian, a trio with members from Bulgaria and Mongolia (Monday July 22), So Ndo Rgo, from Hungary (Thursday July 25), the Violini di Santa Vittoria, from Italy (Monday July 29), and finally, Sageer Khan, Ambili Abraham, Rashmi V. The latter will offer a tribute to the maestro Ravi Shankar, who died last year, who in his long career has been able to connect his instrument, the sitar, and Indian traditional music with European genres, both classical and pop tradition. In addition, thanks to the presence of the dancer and choreographer Ambili Abraham, a part of the show will be dedicated to the dance of Indian cinema, a style characterized by “fascinating and folk influences”.
