Saturday 14 and Sunday15, March will be held at the Circolo Gianni Bosio in Rome (Via di Sant’Ambrogio, 4) the seminar “The traditional music of the four provinces”, edited by Filippo Gambetta. The event is part of the project “Peripheral Accordeon. Series of meetings, seminars, concerts dedicated accordeon and its interpreters” by Alessandro D’Alessandro. Filippo Gambetta will propose, for the occasion, a special about the music of the Apennines, with reference to the provinces of Genoa, Pavia, Piacenza and Alessandria. It will address, for this, a specific repertoire, that is one traditionally played in this area, which includes “Alexandrian”, “flat”, “perigurdini” in addition to “waltz”, “polkas” and “mazurkas”. Namely repertoires evidently linked to specific choreutic forms and, above all, little investigated outside of the context in which are traditional. The aim of the seminar is twofold. On one side open to the knowledge of these repertoires for pipe and accordion. On the other analyze forms within a framework of interpretation and revived with the accordion, “starting with the idea that it is interesting to spread a repertoire also interpreting it with traditional instruments out of reference context “.
As you can read in the notes of presentation the project, “the seminar is aimed at organ grinder 8 bass and 2 files in shades sol / do and is also open to those who play instruments with lower (12, 18 ..) and file to singing. Will be proposed scores with tablatures (Corgeron system) provided by Filippo Gambetta. Part of the proposed material will be sent in advance by e-mail to those who confirm their registration. It is recommended to be equipped with recording media”.
