The Adriatico Mediterraneo Association, in collaboration with Ring Ring Association, Amadeo art kabinet d.o.o. and Day After ong is looking for your musicians for the “EUropean Traditions in cultural hERitage and Performances (EU.T.ER.PE)”, a project  cofinanced by the European Union for the Creative Europe program.

The project’s target is to promote the young musicians’ mobility, promoting cultural cooperation opportunities and giving at the same time an international visibility.

Now the association is selecting young musicians from European and partner countries, preferably under the age of 35 for a collaboration with Cinkuši band of Zagreb. The band is recognized because it can combine world music elements to those of traditional music, appealing to not more used dialects.

In the specific they are requested musicians of the following instruments:

• Tamburica
• Accordion
• Lute
• Croation Lijerica

Knowledge of the English language, versatility, improvisational skills, knowledge of music and Balkan-style, possession of the instrument,  teaching experience and conducting musical workshops are the requirements that will be ask to the candidates. It will be very appreciated the woman musician attendance.

The selected soloists will be available from 5th to the 11th of July, during while they will work with the Cinkuši  to mix their repertoire and to create dialogue between their musical backgrounds.

The concert will be in Zagreb at the Teatro Amadeo on 9th of July. To the selected musicians is requested the participation to a masterclass with the Zegreb Musical Academy’s students on 10th of July. Moreover the soloists will take part to musical urban raids in the squares and in the roads of the city, with very famous street artists and with the support of Cinkuši band.

The project will cover the travel costs, room and board of the musicians, and there will be also a minimum cachet of € 600,00 to decide with the promoter associations.

Consider the applications received and the quality of them there could be the opportunity to take part also in others co-productions that will take part in Greece and Italy during the year.
