ScheggiAcustica is now in its fourth edition. The festival, sponsored by the City of Scheggia and Pescelupo (Perugia-Italy), will be held August 29 to 31 this year and the growing number of followers will be able to enjoy a high quality programming, which has nothing to envy to the most noisy events, most popular, most funded where you can witness all over Umbria.
The highlight of ScheggiAcustica is the scenario, indeed scenarios. Concerts will take place in fact in places with no time, thanks to the music that will buy even more splendor, while stressing the uniqueness of the landscapes and cultures of our region: the Abbey of Santa Maria di Sitria (XI century), where last year performed the duo of Nada and Fausto Mesolella, the Observatory, where will perform the Fluon, the Rivellino di Costacciaro (a monumental late medieval tower) and the Hermitage of Sant’Emiliano in Congiuntoli, a Benedictine monastery founded in sec. X.
The latter will provide the backdrop for the concert of the accordionist Nadio Marenco, scheduled for Friday, August 30 at 21.30.
Marenco has studied accordion with Sergio Scappini and played in various musical combinations. Among the activities of the accordionist of Savona, which since the mid-nineties has collaborated with many musicians, performing in different contexts both abroad and in Italy, it is worth noting that with guitarist Alessio Nebiolo, with a repertoire which are dedicated to music of ‘900, with particular reference to Astor Piazzolla, an intense concert activity all over the world.
At ScheggiAcustica Marenco will perform alone.
