Accordionist Dominic Karcic and his “Continental Sound Orchestra” have for over a decade and a half been part of the Valtarese Foundation annual gala dinner-dance which this year took place on Sunday, April 27th at Maestro’s Caterers in Bronx, NY.

The Foundation over a period of almost twenty-five years has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for scholarships for college bound students and also for hospitals and nursing homes in the Borgo Val di Taro area of Parma Italy.

Dominic is seen here with one of the Foundation’s top benefactors, Wall Street’s noted financier, Mr. Mario Gabelli, whose family originates from that area for Parma Italy – the town of Solignano.
