Duo Mares: Double Concerto for viola, accordion and orchestra

On 12th May Duo MARES will play the premiere of the German composer Frank Zabel’s new “Double Concerto for viola, accordion and orchestra” (2012/2013) with the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, conducted by Heiko Mathias Förster.

The viola and accordion duo by Esra Pehlivanli & Marko Kassl will perform in two concerts in a day: at 11 o’clock in Recklinghausen and at 18 o’clock in Gelsenkirchen.

The “Double Concerto”, a composition of approximately 25 minutes in three movements, has been committed by Neue Philharmonie Westfalen.
