On the occasion of the 18th Semana Internacional do acordeão, which will take place in Alcobaça, Portugal, between 2nd and 11th May 2014, Maestro Massimiliano Pitocco, professor of accordion in the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, will give two masterclasses. The lectures will be held on 2nd and 3rd May at 9:00 am, in the Anfiteatro do Jardim do Municìpio and the Cine-teatro de Alcobaça.

During the event the 19th edition of the Troféu Nacional de Acordeào “ALCOBAÇA 2014″ will take place; the competition is only for solo accordionists and ensemble (classic and varieté).

On May 2, at 21.30, Massimiliano Pitocco will perform a concert, named Noite dos joves acordeonistas.
