It is going to take away the new edition of “Mare e Miniere”, the event dedicated to popular music, culture and landscape of Sardinia, which will take place between late June and early July 2015. The project is managed by Cultural Association Elena Ledda Vox and is now in its eighth edition. As we already have seen in past years, “Mare e Miniere” is a container of many initiatives: there is popular music in the foreground but inserted in a project of development of the area looking for a very wide horizon. A horizon that contemplates first culture, understood as a set of elements not only expressive but also landscapes. It is no coincidence that the organizers – remember that the association was founded in 2001 and is very active in the production of musical and artistic events – dot much on training, linked to the presence of established artists in the Italian and International music scene. The workshops planned for the year 2015 will be held from 28 June to 4 July and include the presence of Elena Ledda and Simonetta Soro for the course of popular song; Riccardo Tesi for the course diatonic accordion; Nando Citarella for tambourine, tammorra and Mediterranean folk dances; Pietro Cernuto for the course of flutes of reeds or pastoral; Luigi Lai for the course of launeddas; brothers Simone and Nicolò Bottaso for the course of ensemble; Alessandro Foresti for poplari dances of the European tradition and Giuseppe Sardo for the course of Sardinian dance.
All courses will be held in Portoscuso, in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias.
