Great success for the 9th edition of the “Festival International de l’Accordéon”, which took place in Lorraine, region in north – eastern France, between 3rd and 5th July. The Festival, organized by “Accordéon Club Lorrain”, hosted great artists, including the Accordéon Club Lorrain, Stas Venglevski and the Russian duo Miroslav & Vladislava.
Among the guests of honor there is also the young Italian Accordeonist Matteo Petronio, student of the Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, who proved as usual a great technique and best control of his instrument. He played: “Sur un air de migliavacca” by Eric Bouvell, “Instant jazz” by Dimitri Saussard, “Chiquilin de Bachin” by Piazzolla arrgt. Angelis, “Italian Polka” by Rachmaninov arrgt. Yashkevich, “Opal concert” by Galliano arrgt. Aurelien Noel and “The Radetzky March” arrgt. Dimitri Saussard.
“It has been a great pride for me – Matteo Petronio explains – be a guest at the Festival International de l’ Accordéon. I was fine, the people always show their love for music and accordion. I had the pleasure of knowing the other three guests of the festival, Stas and the Russian duo, all very friendly and sociable, as well as being great artists. As at every concert you always learn something and it gets better and something more, that both the relationship and the impact with the audience or how to present themselves on stage, then all the little things that add up to the performance, which is always the thing main, make the whole concert.”
The festival is always a significant international event, in which the best accordionist likes Ludovic Beier and Peter Soave play and it is designed to make the audience discover the instrument in different styles: classic, jazz and varieté.
