In the wonderful setting of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome october 22nd, 2011 will be held the 5th International Festival of Digital Accordion
With the “V-Accordion”, Roland is keen to contribute towards expanding the image of this musical instrument throughout the international music scene. The International V-Accordion Festival was launched for this purpose. As highlighted in the festival rules, “creative and future-oriented accordionists” were invited to enter the contest, therefore encouraging not only musicians who already have a V-Accordion but also musicians who usually play acoustic accordions and wish to explore the new opportunities offered by the V-Accordion.
The international final that will take place in Rome is the last of many events of the competition that this year has involved 14 countries: in addition to Italy, attended by Britain, Germany, Denmark, USA, Hungary, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Russia, France, Belgium, Japan and China. On the stage of the Sala Sinopoli will perform the best accordionists in front of a jury composed of prominent personalities from the world of accordion. The evening will be presented by actress and singer Mascia Foschi, also starred in four speeches on the history of tango, accompanied by Maestro Sergio Scappini. Guests of honor will be the Guglielmi Brothers, child prodigy musicians of 8 and 9 years, which will open the evening of music by playing the new Roland digital diatonic accordion, and the Si Taranta, a folk group of mid southern Italy that will dance on the notes of the V-Accordion, played by internationally renowned fisarmoncista Danilo Di Paolonicola. The entrance to the event is free, after the withdrawal of the voucher at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Infopoint from October 1st.

The prize for the National final winners are:
– FR-7x/FR-7xb for Senior division
– FR-1/FR-1b for Junior division
Every contestant has to play two different repertoires:
– one in the Challenge (Pre-Final) 10 minutes
– and another one in the Final Round (International
step) 5 minutes

Compensation for the performer:
– The 1st classified will be indemnified with a € 5000 fee.
– The 2nd classified will be indemnified with a € 2000 fee.
– The 3rd classified will be indemnified with a € 1000 fee.
– The 1st classified of the journalist award will be
indemnified with a € 500 fee.
