The 27, 28 and 29 March in Cellino Attanasio back the traditional appointment with “Lu Giuviddì Sande”. The event aims to remember and, above all, enhance the tradition of begging songs of Holy Week. For this reason, various folk music groups of the whole country will present their repertoire of songs of the Passion through the streets of the village. For the occasion, the center of Cellino will be enriched with stands of local crafts and local products, to give way to the visitors to enjoy the shows in a welcoming setting, linked to not only popular music and expressive production. Among the events that will enliven the festival include the “Sagra del Vino Cotto” locally produced, at which, along the streets of the village, you can taste good cooked wine, paired with chocolate, cheese and desserts.

The program also includes exhibitions of art and culture. Among which we highlight “Scene of living passion, music and theater from San Salvo”, a show by the troupe “The friends of tradition”, scheduled for Friday 27. Saturday 28 will perform the folk group Bisenti, which in collaboration with “Teatralizzando”, will present “The Passion of Jesus Christ, the Way of the Cross in Abruzzese dialect through the streets of the old town”. Ends the show the public debate “hath prepared the hour”, the listening and songs of passion by many local artists, scheduled for Sunday.
