Luigi Di Gianni, a career that began in the fifties and is still active, is one of the largest Italian documentary. He is the author of more than sixty films, starting with Magic Lucan, born in 1958 in collaboration with the anthropologist Ernesto de Martino. Few filmmakers have been able to document so deep some of the most amazing, heartbreaking of our society, especially those rooted in atavistic misery and magic ritual in the south. That of Di Gianni is one of the great Italian cinema not affected by time.
Inside the meeting will be screened documentaries of the director.
Speakers: Luigi Di Gianni, Tullio Seppili, Giovanni Pizza.
Organized by Association Contro Sguardi
Sunday, March 23, 2014 17:30 Palazzo della Penna – Centre for Contemporary Culture, Perugia.
