The 42nd World Congress of the International Council for Traditional Music will be held from 11 to 17 July 2013 and will be hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Among the topics to be discussed and on which it is possible to send their contributions there are: the representation of the music of ethnic minorities, the reinvention or reconstruction of the musical past, the transmission of knowledge, music and dance, the filmic representation of music and dance , music and ritual, new research trends.
