From August 30 to September 1 will take place in Ferla, in the province of Siracusa, “Lithos. National review of popular music, acoustic and contemporary”, organized by singer-songwriter Carlo Muratori. The festival is now in its thirteenth edition and this year the program includes interesting appointments and original concerts. First of all, the spirit of Lithos, as pointed out by Carlo Muratori and the Mayor of Ferla Michelangelo Giansiracusa, remained intact after so many years and is renewed indeed drawing on the most current issues of politics and culture, but also the most dynamic elements of local cultural traditions. In fact, besides the concerts, there are meetings and workshops on the construction and playing technique of the tambourine, edited by Michele Piccione.
Stairway to the Capuchins, Friday 30 the opening of the show is entrusted with the Ensemble of Ramzi Harrabi, musician, poet and singer Tunisian who from several years live and work in Syracuse as a professor of language and Arab-Islamic culture and intercultural communication. Then continue at 22.30 with the show “Nonsolo Modugno”, an ethnic key tribute to Apulian singer-songwriter, by the same Muratori (vocals and guitar), Peppe Arezzo (piano and conducting) and Massimo Genovese (guitar and mandolin).
Saturday 31 will perform Lucilla Galeazzi with Terna Ttrio, which in addition to the Umbrian singer-songwriter (vocals and guitar) includes Giuseppe De Tritium (guitar and mandolin) and Carmine Bruno (percussion frame). The Trio will propose the show “Gira girala” in which they mixed Galeazzi original songs with popular music of central-southern Italy.
