It will be held from 6 to 8 December, the third edition of the “Medimex. Salon of musical innovation”. Like last year, the event will be hosted in Bari, at the Fiera del Levante, where there are stands of operators in the music industry and meetings with various subjects, from different perspectives, dealing with music in Italy and abroad.
In a sense, the purpose of the event is also to bring together the majority of those working in the field of music. A complex and fragmented field that can only receive positive feedback from the comparison between professionals who contribute to its development.
If the intent is that, beyond the interest that everyone has in the promotion of their facilities and their work, initiatives in the program will be able to define a very clear profile of the state of music in our country. And even abroad. In fact, the context in which they operate (now almost everyone, but in particular) musical operators, is extra- local and involves not only a comparison with the territorial realities of other countries, but also a constant reflection and a critical evaluation of the strategies and solutions that are adopted on an international level. In this context, which affects the new musical version of the entertainment industry – which today is in the process of radical reformulation related to digitization – the issues they face are many, especially intercept many and varied professionalism from the musicians to artists working in the field of musical performance, from journalists to promoters, from record sellers to event organizers, festivals organizers, from independent labels to those legislators, from the talent show to the phenomenon of crowdfunding, and so on. For these reasons, among the events that you can attend are those that follow:
“The music industry and the international promotion of the repertoires in the digital age”. Moderated by Enzo Mazza (FIMI President) with the participation of Daniel Friedlander (Senior Communications Adviser IFPI, International Federation of the Phonographic Industry), John Dyer (Director at Domino Recordings, board member at AIM, Association of Independent Music), Antonio Guisasola (President at Promusicae Productores de Música de España), Eduardo Simões (General Director of AFP, Fonográfica Associação Portuguesa); “Employment in the show? Sure! (Art becomes value). Presentation of the special regulations for the show, demonstrations and events”. Presentation by the DOC Services, with the participation of Lydia Field (PSAL Service of ASL Milano), Valentino Patussi (Director of the Department of Prevention ASS1 Trieste), Chiara Chiappa and Enrico Massaro (table Legality and Safety Entertainment), Giulio Stumpo (Managing SMart.it); “Caught in the net. The festival in network, perspectives and purposes”.
