Orizzonte è il titolo di uno dei nuovi brani inseriti nel nuovo progetto discografico che vede Vince Abbracciante, fisarmonicista e compositore pugliese, a capo di un ottetto formato da quartetto d’archi, contrabbasso, batteria e pianoforte. Le composizioni di Abbracciante rappresentano una sinfonica coralità di umori e armonie che ci riportano allo choro, alle bande, alla tarantella, al melodramma, alle arie barocche, ai canti popolari di un sud aggrappato alle proprie tradizioni musicali. I nuovi orizzonti musicali riescono a sintetizzare tutto questo, a filtrare e cantare il sentimento di una terra coraggiosa e vitale.

Suite Abruzzo è un brano per fisarmonica elettronica ibrida (acustica + MIDI), che prende ispirazione dalla vicenda del terremoto de L’Aquila del 2009. Il compositore cerca di raccontare una storia attraverso una suite in cinque momenti, ricordando i diversi stati d’animo vissuti durante tutta la vicenda, partendo dai giorni precedenti fino ad arrivare a quelli successivi all’accaduto.

“Ho iniziato a scrivere questo brano qualche anno fa. Era rimasto nel dimenticatoio fino a quando – a causa dei lockdown – ho deciso di riprenderlo e terminarlo. Il titolo è la traduzione dal latino della parola “resiliente”, ossia, “capace di sostenere gli urti senza spezzarsi”. Penso sia un titolo adatto al momento che stiamo vivendo, poiché tutti noi stiamo cercando di resistere e sopravvivere a questa pandemia. Dal punto di vista compositivo quasi tutto il brano gravita intorno ad un motivo ritmico melodico ricorrente in continua evoluzione. La parte centrale, di carattere completamente opposta, rimanda ad una preghiera a favore di coloro che, causa Covid, non ce l’hanno fatta”.

MediterrAnima è un gioco di parole tra mar Mediterraneo e anima. Il sestetto è costituito da un quintetto d’archi e fisarmonica, tutti provenienti da paesi diversi. La composizione originale di Roberto Palermo, con gli arrangiamenti del suo Maestro Renzo
Ruggieri, ispira una musica vivace con melodie semplici e profondamente sentite. Lo stile di musica appassionata si muove tra delicata malinconia e gioia sfrenata. “La pittura è una poesia che può essere vista e non ascoltata, e la poesia è un dipinto che
può essere sentito e non visto […]. La pittura è una poesia muta e la poesia è una pittura cieca”. In questi termini Leonardo da Vinci si è espresso nel suo Trattato della pittura.
Renzo Ruggieri, Mauro De Federicis, CIAK
Renzo e Mauro sono specialisti dei propri strumenti, riconosciuti a livello internazionale. Nato per caso, il duo ha riscosso un successo tale da trasformarsi, nel tempo, in una collaborazione continuativa. L’assoluta maestria con cui suonano ciascuno il proprio strumento consente al pubblico di assaporare un’infinita gamma di colori per una musica ricca di contrasti con una grande attenzione alla melodia. Il repertorio del mini concerto è dedicato al cinema; composizioni originali e omaggi a compositori poco blasonati (non c’è ad esempio Morricone) che rappresentano il contenuto dell’EP CIAK che uscirà proprio il 9 maggio, giorno dell’Absolute Premiere.

Horizon is the title of one of the new songs included in the new recording project that sees Vince Abbracciante, accordionist and composer from Puglia, at the head of an octet made up of string quartet, double bass, drums and piano. Abbracciante’s compositions represent a symphonic chorus of moods and harmonies that bring us back to the choro, the bands, the tarantella, the melodrama, the baroque arias, the popular songs of a south clinging to its musical traditions. The new musical horizons manage to synthesize all this, to filter and sing the feeling of a brave and vital land.

Andrea Di Giacomo “SUITE ABRUZZO”
“Suite Abruzzo” is a piece for electronic accordion with hybrid system (acoustic + MIDI), that takes inspiration from the story of the earthquake in the city of L’Aquila (Italy), in 2009. The composer tries to tell a story through a suite in five moments, recalling the different moods experienced throughout the story, starting from the previous days up to the days following the event.

“I started writing this song a few years ago. It remained in oblivion until – due to the lockdowns – I decided to take it back and finish it. The title is the translation from the Latin of the word” resilient “that is” capable of supporting shocks without breaking. “I think it is a suitable title for the moment we are living, since we are all trying to resist and survive this pandemic. From the compositional point of view, almost the whole piece gravitates around a recurring rhythmic melodic motif in continuous evolution. The central part, of a completely opposite character, refers to a prayer in favor of those who, due to covid, have not made it”.

MediterrAnima is a play on words Mediterranean (sea) and Anima that mean soul in Italian. The sextet, consisting of string quintet and accordion, everyone from different countries. The original music By Roberto Palermo con gli arrangiamenti del suo Maestro Renzo Ruggieri, inspires lively play in the same way as simple and deeply felt melodies. The passionate style of play moves between delicate melancholy and unbridled joy. “Painting is a poem that can be seen and not heard, and poetry is a painting that can be
felt and not seen”. “Painting is a silent poetry, and poetry is a blind painting”. In these terms Leonardo da Vinci expressed himself in his Treatise on Painting, for me Music is like a poem, a blind painting.

Renzo and Mauro are internationally recognized specialists in their instruments. Born by chance, the duo has been so successful that over time it has been transformed into a continuous collaboration. The absolute mastery with which they each play their own instrument allows the public to savor an infinite range of colors for a music full of contrasts with great attention to the melody. The repertoire of the mini concert is dedicated to cinema; original compositions and tributes to less famous composers (there is no Morricone, for example) that represent the content of the EP “CIAK” which will be released on May 9, the day of the Absolute Premiere.
