It was officially announced the date of the Workers’ Group E Zezi of Pomigliano d’Arco will celebrate forty years of activity. It’s September 19 and all lovers of popular music, the history of the group and of all that has been in the labor movement from the seventies are called to participate in a major event, which will take place at the Maschio Angioino in Naples. The event – which are still working out details – provides a structured program and, as is the style of Zezi, focused on different levels of representation. Indeed of all those to whom the group has dedicated all these years. There will be music, with a performance of the band; there will be theater, with “La Canzone di Zeza”, that is, the ritual carnival that the group has rescued early in his career and it was staged, until the fifties, from street performers in a wide Neapolitan area; you can trace the history of the group through the testimony of many people who have been involved; there will be three exhibitions on themes dear to Zezi: “Anastasia-‘A Flobert”, “Carnival of Zezi in Pomigliano” and “The Theatre of the farmer and worker Zezi”. They will also be presented two important works of this celebration. It is ” è ‘na spina”, the volume on one print of Patrizio Esposit and ” A zig zag tra le musiche dei Zezi di 40 anni”, a documentary that traces the most important moments. Waiting to share more precise information about the event, remember that Zezi were and still are one of the most important groups in the world of popular music of our country, inspiring and real source of training for many artists of Naples and beyond.
