The Ethnomusicology Archive, founded in 1961, has gathered a wealth of more than 150,000 recordings of traditional music, folk and popular from Africa, Asia, Australia and the Islands Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
The call announces the development of the first podcast of the Society for Ethnomusicology, which will be framed in a radio show via the internet, which will be broadcast at regular intervals and will be geared toward an audience of specialists, but also to scholars and musicians.
A portion of the call specifies that: “The Company is seeking candidates able to articulate and start the project. We are interested in a podcast that will enhance and complement the work of the members and the Society’s publications. The producer will establish an editorial board, will form a production team, if necessary, and will guide the work of selection of guests, interviews, content, programming, recording, editing and publication of the final podcast. This first producer will be used for a period of three years from the date of issuance of the first program. ”
